The Downtown Eastside Youth Activities Society  (DEYAS),  is dedicated to promoting health, providing opportunities for growth and  offering  services to youth and adults who are homeless, drug-addicted or street entrenched and live in the Greater Vancouver area.

This was part of the vision of John Turvey, the founder of DEYAS, to instil dignity and provide opportunity to those most in need.
