VOLUNTEER

There are many opportunities to get involved in helping the homeless and street-entrenched youth on the Downtown Eastside. Currently there are the following volunteer positions available including but not limited to;

• Acting coaches

• Young speakers, and mentors with public speaking experience

• Young writers with guaranteed publishing opportunity

• Mentors with published articles

• Young photographers and professional photographers as mentors

• Design/layout mentors and artists

• Coach/instructor, First Nations carving

• Coach/Instructor, Painting

• Coach/Instructor, Drawing

Internships

DEYAS offers an outreach internship program. Outreach Interns work with full-time staff in a challenging but supportive environment providing support to street-entrenched youth.

I work as a youth leaders with the Art in the Street program as well as behind the scenes preparing for each event and I look forward to my time with this organization!"
